Świat Bioniki Foundation

Manifesto

May 2026 - foundation pending KRS registration

Amputation does not end in the operating theatre. A new chapter begins there - full of questions that the healthcare system does not fully answer. About prosthetics, rehabilitation, funding, phantom pain, returning to work. About what waits beyond the hospital door.

The Świat Bioniki Foundation was created to make that information more accessible - whether you are a week, a year or a decade post-amputation.

For the person with an amputation - wherever they are on this journey.

For family and loved ones who want to help but do not know how.

For the specialist - prosthetist, physiotherapist, doctor - who is looking for a perspective no textbook provides: what a prosthesis looks like in the daily life of its user.

Three pillars - three equal areas of work:

Prosthetic education

The swiatbioniki.pl portal, YouTube channel and social media - free knowledge about prosthetics, rehabilitation and life after amputation. Created by someone who has been through it.

Life after amputation

Community, peer support, emotional support and return to activity. You are not alone in this.

Direct beneficiary support

Guidance through grant applications, help navigating the healthcare system and psychological support - concrete help for a concrete person, at every stage after amputation.

We do not sell. We do not recommend products in exchange for payment. We do not judge which prosthesis is better - we describe how each one performs in real life and for whom it may be the right choice.

We do not pretend to have all the answers. We are an organisation in the making - the foundation is pending registration, the portal is growing, the community is just beginning. We say this openly.

The foundation is being built by Artur Wąsowicz - an entrepreneur with a decade in healthcare and a person with a left leg amputation. We do not write about prosthetics from the outside. We live this material from the inside.

That is a perspective missing from every catalogue and brochure. And that is precisely why it is needed.

That is why you will meet two voices on this portal. When you read "I", it is Artur speaking - as a person after amputation and an everyday prosthesis user. When you read "we", it is the foundation and the people who build it together. This is not an accident but the way we combine one person’s experience with the work of a whole organisation.

"Every person after amputation deserves independent knowledge - before they start choosing a prosthesis."
