Distributors for Poland
Last verified:
A component you see on a foreign manufacturer's website only reaches a Polish clinic if somebody imports it. These are the companies that do, and the brands they are responsible for.
Four routes a component takes into Poland
The difference matters to you as well, even though you will never deal with any of these companies directly. You talk to a clinic, and what the clinic can offer you depends on what it has access to.
A manufacturer's own subsidiary. The company operates in Poland under the same brand as the factory. Service, training and spare parts run through a single channel, and nobody passes you on when a component fails.
An independent distributor. Imports several or a dozen brands at once. For you that means that when the components of your prosthesis are being chosen, the clinic has several solutions of the same type to compare, and can propose the one that matches what you are physically able to use and able to pay for.
A foreign wholesaler's representative. Sales into Poland without a company registered here, through field sales staff or through a branch in a neighbouring country. This is how niche brands usually arrive.
Direct purchase abroad. The clinic orders the component from the manufacturer or a foreign wholesaler on its own, for one specific patient. This applies to brands with no channel into Poland at all. It is a real route, not an exception, and worth knowing about: a brand missing from the list below does not mean you cannot get it in Poland. It means it depends on whether a particular clinic is willing to import it.
For each company we give the channel, the base, the brands confirmed at source and the scope, meaning lower limb, upper limb or both. No ratings, no ranking, no prices.
Companies
Companies are listed alphabetically. The order is not a judgement.
ALPS
An American liner manufacturer, active since 1988, serving Europe through its ALPS South Europe branch in Plzeň, Czech Republic. No company and no representative in Poland, but a Polish version of the website and a product catalogue published in Polish.
The offer is mainly gel and silicone liners, suspension sleeves, locks and vacuum systems, plus the BioStep range of feet and the ProStride knee. Polish clinics usually order here directly.
Scope: lower limb, focused on sockets and suspension. easyliner.eu
Ortho-Reha Neuhof
A German wholesaler from Nuremberg with no company registered in Poland. The country is covered by two field sales representatives, one for the east and one for the west, and the company publishes its lower and upper limb prosthetics catalogues in Polish as well.
Brands and products confirmed on the company's website: COVVI hands, Coapt pattern recognition control, Myo/One electrodes, prosthetic fingers, passive hands, the Nabtesco ALLUX 2 microprocessor knee and Ethnocare cosmetic covers.
Scope: mainly upper limb, with single items for the lower limb. ortho-reha-neuhof.de
Ortocentrum
A Polish nationwide distributor based in Babice Nowe near Warsaw. It imports components of more than a dozen brands at once.
Brands confirmed in the company's product catalogue and on distributor lists maintained by the manufacturers themselves: Blatchford, Proteor including the Rush line, Fillauer, Streifeneder, Freedom Innovations, the Swedish Lindhe Xtend, ST&G, Orliman, Wagner and Orto Europe. That covers knees from mechanical to microprocessor, feet from passive to sports, quick-change adapters, liners, locks and upper limb components.
Ortocentrum also runs its own prosthetic clinic, so it appears in two of this directory's roles at once.

Össur, through Össur Polska
An Icelandic manufacturer with a sales office in Kraków, opened on 1 January 2018 and covering the whole country. It sells its own brand of components, shipped from factories and logistics centres in Europe, the Americas and Asia.
The group also owns College Park, acquired outright in June 2020 and still run under its own name. If a College Park foot appears in your quote, it is a component from the same group as Össur. In the same transaction the Espire elbow line went to the UK company Steeper and is no longer a College Park product.
Össur does not run its own clinics in Poland. You order its components through a clinic that works with the company, and the clinic is your point of contact.

Ottobock, through Otto Bock Polska
A German manufacturer with its own subsidiary in Poland, operating since 1998 and based in Warsaw. It sells components of its own brand only.
The exception on this list: Ottobock also runs its own prosthetic clinics in Poland, including in Poznań, Kraków, Warsaw, Łódź, Bytom and Gdynia. It is the only company here where manufacturer, distributor and clinic are the same entity. If you go to one of those clinics, your prosthesis will be built from a single brand of components.

Teufel, through WJT Ortho
The German company Wilhelm Julius Teufel of Wangen, active in orthopaedics for over a hundred and sixty years, operates in Poland through its own subsidiary WJT Ortho, based in Myślenice. The country is covered by two field representatives, for the north-west and the south-east, plus inside sales on Polish numbers.
Worth noting: across the whole of Europe, Teufel has its own staff in only two countries, Austria and Poland. Every other market, from Italy to Scandinavia, is served by independent distributors.
The prosthetics catalogue covers below-knee, above-knee and upper limb liners, suspension sleeves, locks, lanyard systems, valves and elevated vacuum, feet, modular and socket attachment adapters, knee joints, waterproof components, paediatric components, foam cosmeses and prosthetic socks, plus clinic materials separately.
Beyond its own catalogue, Teufel handles four external brands in Poland. Two of them are knees with no equivalent from the other suppliers on this market: the Kneuro microprocessor knee from BrainRobotics, and the Intuy Knee from the Dutch company Reboocon Bionics, a powered knee that actively supplies force when standing up and climbing stairs.
The other two are the Danish Levitate, with its Forever range of feet, Blade running prostheses and quick-change adapters, and the American WillowWood of Ohio, in business since 1907, with Alpha liners, feet, knees and suspension systems. In both cases the manufacturers name this company as the route into Poland on their own distributor lists.
It carries an entirely different set of brands from Ortocentrum. The two catalogues barely overlap.

Brands with no confirmed channel into Poland
We only list companies whose presence in Poland we confirmed at source: through an office address, a representative for the country, a catalogue published in Polish, or an entry on a distributor list maintained by the manufacturer itself. Entries from aggregators and trade directories are not enough, because they are often years out of date.
The brands below appear in Polish clinics’ supplier declarations or in descriptions of prostheses they have built, but we have not confirmed their Polish channel. They most likely arrive by the fourth route, direct purchase by the clinic.
Becker Orthopedic, American manufacturer, joints and components for orthotics and prosthetics.
Coyote, American manufacturer, suspension systems, locks, lanyards and socket hardware.
Steeper, British manufacturer, upper limb prosthetics, including the Espire elbow line.
If a brand you know from a Polish clinic is missing here, it only means we have not yet confirmed its channel. It does not mean the channel does not exist.
A separate trap lies in the word itself. In Polish, prosthetics also means dental prosthetics, so a large share of search results about distributors leads to materials for dental technicians. We check every company on its own website, never on a combined list.
Companies present in Poland, but not in limb prosthetics
A few names recur in supplier lists published by clinics and are easy to mistake for suppliers of prosthetic components.
medi Polska, based in Gliwice with outlets in Warsaw, Kraków and Gdańsk, sells compression garments, orthoses, braces and orthopaedic insoles in Poland. Limb prosthetics is not part of its Polish offer.
Updates and corrections
We review the list once a quarter.
Is a company missing that should be here? Has something changed, an address moved, a company closed? Write to us through the contact form, subject „Manufacturer directory”. We will check and correct it at the next review, and immediately for obvious errors.
The rest of the directory: back to the directory hub.
This list covers only companies that import components into Poland.
Informational directory: a listing here is not a recommendation or a rating. No company has paid to appear on this list and none can. Choosing components and building a prosthesis is a decision made together with your doctor and prosthetist, after examination.
