Cookie Policy
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that your browser saves on your device. The swiatbioniki.pl portal uses two categories of cookies, described below together with their providers and retention periods.
2. Cookie categories, providers and retention
- Essential: first-party cookies and local storage of swiatbioniki.pl (language, dark mode, cookie decision, accessibility preferences), and on the contact page additionally the Cloudflare Turnstile anti-spam token, which is required for the form to work. Stored for up to 12 months or until you clear your browser data. Always active, no consent required.
- Marketing: activated only after you give consent. These include cookies set by YouTube (Google LLC) on embedded videos and by the social media platforms we link to. Retention periods are set by those providers under their own policies, and those providers may process data outside the European Economic Area.
3. Analytics
The portal does not currently use any analytics tool and we do not collect traffic statistics. If we introduce an analytics tool in the future, this policy will be updated and a separate category requiring your consent will appear in the cookie banner.
4. Legal basis
Installing cookies other than essential ones requires your consent under the Polish Electronic Communications Law (Act of 12 July 2024), and the processing of personal data connected with them takes place on the basis of Article 6(1)(a) GDPR, that is the consent you give in the cookie banner.
5. Managing your consent
You can change your preferences at any time. Consents are stored locally in your browser (localStorage), together with a timestamp recording when they were given.
