Accessibility Statement
1. Compliance status
Fundacja Świat Bioniki makes every effort to ensure that the swiatbioniki.pl portal conforms to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. The portal is largely conformant with that standard. The foundation is not currently a public body within the meaning of the Polish Act of 4 April 2019 on the digital accessibility of websites and mobile applications of public bodies. This statement is therefore voluntary, and it will be updated to full statutory conformity once the foundation begins carrying out public tasks financed from public funds.
2. Date and method of assessment
This statement was prepared in July 2026. Accessibility was assessed by means of a self-assessment carried out by the portal team, using automated testing tools together with manual verification of keyboard navigation and screen reader behaviour.
3. Accessibility features implemented
- Text size adjustable by the user (±3 steps), WCAG success criterion 1.4.4
- Dyslexia-friendly typeface: OpenDyslexic (alternative font)
- Increased letter spacing, WCAG success criterion 1.4.12

4. Accessibility limitations
Despite our efforts, some elements of the portal, in particular embedded YouTube videos and third-party content, may not fully meet all WCAG 2.2 AA success criteria, because their accessibility depends on the external provider rather than on the foundation.
5. Reporting accessibility barriers
If you encounter a barrier that prevents you from using the portal, you have the right to report it through the contact form. Your report should include your contact details, a description of the barrier you encountered and your preferred means of reply. We will examine the report without undue delay and no later than within 14 days of receiving it. If we are unable to meet that deadline, we will let you know the new deadline and the reasons for it.
6. Complaints
If we refuse to provide accessibility or fail to meet the deadline for replying, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Polish Commissioner for Human Rights (Rzecznik Praw Obywatelskich).
7. Accessibility contact
